Lynn is one of Greater Boston's most interesting and historic cities.  Once the shoe capital of the world, Lynn was the epitome of the textile industry's rapid growth and success in America with several important and historic claims to fame.  

 

In 1888 and again in 1980, Lynn suffered from devastating fires that all but destroyed the city's downtown infrastructure. After the first fire, the city was able to rebound gloriously but the second time, the downtown became a sleepy mass of empty and decaying textile buildings and shuttered businesses.

In recent years, Lynn has shown signs of life with new restaurants (see The Blue Ox) and many loft spaces and attractive brick buildings ripe for development; Lynn has the promise of a bright future.

There is much to love about this fair city with affordable Real Estate being at the top of the list.   Its several miles of beach front (its bays were too shallow to support any shipping industry) and its astonishingly beautiful Lynn Woods Reservation (one of the largest municipal parks in the nation) appeal to folks who love the outdoors.  Lynn is the arch-stone for Massachusetts' beloved North Shore.   From there access to Boston by commuter rail is about 12-15 minutes to North Station.  

While I ordinarily don't stray too far from Boston when working with clients, I happen to know that area so well, I can be a great resource to folks looking in the area.
