Greater Boston Real Estate Market
Greater Boston is one of the oldest and most historic communities in North America. And if you're moving to or considering buying in the area, you have much to consider.
Clink on the links to the right to see what is currently on the market in each of the areas.
In Boston alone, there are several neighborhoods and sections within neighborhoods, each with its own distinct characteristics that, to each prospective buyer, represent an entire spectrum of choices. In downtown for instance, there is the North End, the West End, the Financial District, the Leather District, Back Bay, Beacon Hill, theSouth End, the Theater District, and the newly minted Seaport District.
Other neighborhoods like South Boston, East Boston, Charlestown, Allston, Brighton, Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, Roxbury, Roslindale, West Roxbury, the Fenway, Mission Hill, Fort Hill, and Hyde Park help to comprise one of the most diverse cities in America.
But then Boston isn't only Boston either; it's "Greater Boston".
This includes Brookline, Somerville, Cambridge, Watertown, Medford and more. Greater Boston's got more flavors than Baskin Robbins and if you need a suggestion on where to look, I can give you a taste of about every one.
As the cliché goes, "location, location, location", and so true it is. For many folks looking to buy in Greater Boston, the earliest stages of the process involve just getting to know some of the neighborhoods and developing a sense of which will fit your needs and wants best.
In addition to getting a lay of the land in terms of commuting, local amenities, and geography, you'll be looking to compare property value in each of these areas to understand roughly what your dollar will get you in a given neighborhood.
Each of these links will provide you with a quick snapshot of what's on the market in each area. Some of the towns and areas include a search link for bank-owned properties, however you must become a member of my site to view these listings.
On each page, you'll find a Google map with listings currently for sale in each of these neighborhoods and towns. Some of the areas, where foreclosures may be more prevalent, have links to see foreclosed listings as well.
A quick note: All these are areas in which I am comfortable representing my cients. I also know many capable agents in these areas too and, pending your needs, will happily ensure you have the right agent to meet your needs.
