Boston's Roxbury section cuts a fairly large and geographically diverse swath.  Spanning from the South End (the South End is actually considered part of Roxbury) and out to Columbia Road, and up to Tremont Street in Mission Hill (Mission Hill is also technically part of Roxbury), Roxbury's most notable sections include Fort Hill, Dudley Square, and Grove Hall.

Areas like Dudley Square and Fort Hill, each with both architectural and commercial significance, are still in their earliest stages of revitalization.  Property values dipped in recent years, but the communities remain strong.  With the recent rebirth of the Strand Theater (on Columbia Road), Uphams Corner is poised to follow suit.  Roxbury is definitely a neighborhood worth exploring.
